Clean up and planting. Visitors are welcome. Morning tea provided.
The Landcare Group and residents are working to transform Ranters Gully waste land into an attractive community asset.
Up until a year ago Ranters Gully was strewn with rubbish and had a massive weed infestation. With funding from the State Government, we’ve removed the bulk of the weeds.
Now we need to get rid of the rubbish and plant some trees to help suppress weed regrowth.
When Meet at the un-named lane off Princess Street, Campbells Creek for a 10:00am start. We’ll finish with a ‘morning’ tea at around midday.
Where: This part of Ranters Gully runs from Diamond Gully Rd into Campbells Creek just behind the houses on the north side of Princess Street. See the map below.
Parking is available along Princess St. Walk in along the un-named lane that runs next to the creek from Princess Street.
What: We’ll be removing rubbish from the site and planting trees. We’ll plant the trees and shrubs along the actual Ranters Gully drainage line.
Bring: Gloves, sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for the weather. Other useful things to bring are wheelbarrows, wire cutters, picks.
