This event is part of
A working bee to remove rubbish from public land along the Creek. Visitors are welcome. Morning tea provided.
PLEASE NOTE: This working bee is on14 March, NOT the advertised Clean-up Australia Day date of 7th March - we're avoiding the long-weekend.
We'll be cleaning up rubbish - bottles, plastic, paper, trolleys, dumped garden refuse - and tackling some weeds. The working bee will run from 8.30am to 10.30am. Like previous years, we're starting and finishing early to dodge the heat of the day.
Details are:
Meeting at: Winters Flat Footbridge, Midland Highway
(Johnstone St)
VICROADS Page 287 O7
We'll then disperse into teams along the creek
to do the work.
Start time: 8:30 am
We'll provide: collection bags; rubbish skip (courtesy of the Council), and tea/coffee biscuits
Please bring: hats, gloves, sturdy clothing, sun protection, your own water (and a friend).
Needed:
3 vehicles with trailers, or trayed vehicles - please contact Stephen Ellis
(5472 3678 or info@focc.org.au) if you can help with one of these.
Looking forward to a really successful morning, and a cleaner Creek.
