Planting of an indigenous display garden. All welcome.
This time we'll be focussed on planting a display area near one of our information shelters along the Trail (we were too busy on Lomandras last month so didn't get started on it!). We will be planting ground cover plants and shrubs. There’s not that many plants but we need all hands on deck to help as the ground will be hard to dig and the plants will need to be guarded.
Wear: clothing appropriate for the weather including sturdy footwear and if possible, gloves.
We’ll supply all needed equipment and light refreshments afterwards.
Meet at the northern information shelter 600m south of Lewis Dve. Here’s a link to a map.
Park at the end of Lewis Dve, Castlemaine and make your way downstream along the Trail
Park at the end of Honeycomb Road, Campbells Creek and make your way 500 m to the footbridge.
Note, there are no spaces for car parking available at our meeting place. If you can’t walk or cycle in and would like help to get there, contact the Group on firstname.lastname@example.org, via the Facebook site or ring Shona on 0408724699
