Field day on best practice revegetation techniques this Sunday 24th August, 2014.
The group will demonstrate two methods for direct seeding native plants—a manual technique that is ideal for small scale applications or where labour is available, plus a mechanical method suited to large scale revegetation. Participants can take away free packets of local seed to try direct seeding on their own property.
The day will be a great opportunity for land owner’s wanting an easier way to restore native vegetation on their properties.
Demonstrations start @ 10.00am and go through until 12 noon.
Location: the end of Lewis Drive, Castlemaine. Afterwards a light lunch will be supplied near the footbridge 450 m downstream.
