Post flood recovery and clean up day.
Though we’ve appreciated the rain, the September 14th flood along the creeks has resulted in damage to some sections of the Trail and stream-side vegetation, and lots of debris.
There’s a lot of repair work to be done. As a result we’ve decided to change our usual Community Day this year to a community creek recovery day – a working bee with free sandwich lunch - for all who enjoy the creek to join in and make a start on recovery work.
If you can, please come and bring some friends!
Wear sturdy footwear, gloves and clothing appropriate for the weather. You may wish to bring some drinking water.
