Tackling weeds and clean-up at Honeycomb Reserve, followed by a BBQ

Joint Working Bee with McKenzie's Hill Action & Landcare. This will complete Stage 1 of our restoration project, funded by a Mount Alexander Shire Council Community Grant.

We'll be cutting and pasting some woody weeds before they take hold, working on some others, and doing some clean-up, to help protect our adjoining restoration work and neighbours.

For the very energetic, we'll also be "bashing" down crumbling old dead gorse along the access and walking tracks.

Come for the whole session or as long as you can.  Please bring water, gloves, a rake if you have one, and wear sturdy boots and clothing suitable for the weather.

We'll finish with a BBQ at 7:00 pm at a house nearby, with BBQ facilities.  Please bring you own meat, drinks and fold-up chair; we'll provide salad, bread, coffee and tea.

Meet: at the 'carpark' at the end of Honeycomb Rd,  Campbells Creek, where the bitumen meets the gravel  walking/cycle track.  If you come after 5:00 pm,  please ring David King on 0408 993 688 when you arrive for directions to where we are working.

Hope to see you there.
