Learn to identify some weeds and native plants, about weed control options, and help to control weeds. Morning tea is provided. Everyone welcome.

Is your garden helping or harming the environment?  Some garden plants are jumping the back fence and invading our bushland.  Can you tell the good plants from the bad?

Ian Higgins will lead a walking tour of our creek-side restoration project at Lewis Drive (map here).

You’ll see some of the best and worst of our creek, learn to identify plants and tell the difference between friend and foe.

We’ll discuss and demonstrate best practice weed control and you’ll see some of the techniques and machinery we use along the creek.

You can help to remove some ‘garden thugs’ and other weeds too, and prepare for planting later this year, or just enjoy the tour.

Please bring hats, gloves, enclosed footwear and sturdy clothing suitable for the weather and your own water.  We’ll supply the rest - hope to see you here.
