Bendigo Creek carries water that falls on Bendigo's streets and anything else that washes in with it. Unfortunately, this is often LOTS of rubbish.
Clean Up Australia Day is a national movement and we participate every year. Sadly, our Bendigo Creek is at the mercy the urban stormwater flows from a huge regional city upstream. The creek's plants, water, wildlife, amenity, reputation and potential are all marred by litter.
Join us on Clean Up Australia Day to help us remove litter and give Bendigo Creek a chance.
Wear long pants, sturdy footwear, hat and sunscreen. Bring a mobile phone, water bottle and an empty backpack for carrying extra empty rubbish bags.
