This event is part of
A practical demonstration of weed control techniques with Ross Coupar from Indigenous Design Environmental Services and the Christmas Hills Landcare Group Tool Trailer
Whether you have a bush block or cleared paddocks, we all are likely to have to deal with weeds as part of managing our property. There are many different types of weeds, and many different methods for managing them.
At this event you will:
- Learn about some of the weed control methods available to you
- See practical demonstrations of some of these methods
- Use some of the tools from the CHLG tool trailer to practice a selection of these methods
- Gain insights into the associated chemical handling and equipment maintenance
You will also get a demonstration on the use of the motion-sensing cameras that the CHLG will be using as part of the Community Fauna Monitoring Project.
Please bring a contribution to afternoon tea
The rough program for the day is:
2:00pm – 3:00pm Practical demonstration - by Ross Coupar of simple weed control methods with some of the CHLG tools
3:00pm – 4:00pm Practice the methods – and help out Tomas and Joanne with control of some of their weeds
