A presentation by Alan Webster, Senior Flora and Fauna Officer, Department of Sustainability and Environment

Christmas Hills is home to a wide variety of native animal species, and several of these are considered rare or threatened at the state and national level. Understanding more about these ‘special critters’ – such as what they look like, where they occur locally, what their habitat requirements are, and what threats they face – will help us decide what we can do as individual landholders, and as a group, to support and protect them for the long term.

For this event we will tap into the extensive knowledge and experience of Alan Webster who will present some of what he knows about locally occurring species of owls, dunnarts, antechinus, phascogales, gliders, goannas, frogs, quails, warblers, etc.

You will also be updated on the related planning work that several members have been doing that we expect will help us as a group be clear on what we want to achieve, and what our priorities are in doing so.

Please bring a contribution to afternoon tea
