Wildlife and conservation practices around the world - encompassing Africa, the Galapagos island and ( closer to home) Sandy Point Nature Reserve - will be the focus of a walk and talk and slide presentation in Newport on Sunday September 13. Environment group Friends of Greenwich Bay are organising the activity to celebrate Bushcare Major Day Out. Frank Fardf we could get help from others like Beach Patrol 3016 and Scabduty, ell, Acting Team Leader., Conservation and Environment at City of Hobsons Bay will lead the walk at the nature reserve. Fardell has recently visited Africa and the Galapagos Islands where he observed conservation management practices. After the walk he will share his experiences with a slide show. Light refreshments will be served. Bushcare Major Day Out is a great opportunity to encourage everyone to learn more about our local coastal bushland.
