The Community work day at Herring Island is held on the first Sunday of each month.
We plant indigenous plants in winter and weed in summer, with a mix of activities to suit all volunteers. Herring Island is a small island in the Yarra River, between South Yarra and Richmond. Parks Victoria provide boat transport from Parks Victoria depot in Burnley (river end of Coppin & Rooney Sts.) to the island. For more Information: Contact
