Bill Ramsay, President of BirdLife Melbourne talks about Birds in Backyards

There is a great variety of birds living around the Scotchmans Creek area and Bill Ramsay, President of BirdLife Melbourne, knows all about them.

He has been gazing at birds through his binoculars for 40 years or so, making numerous trips to coastal and inland Australia as well as offshore territories, adding species to his bird list.  His passion has taken him to places such as Thursday Island, Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island, Macquarie Island, Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands and Ashmore Reef.

Bill will be drawing on his vast experience and knowledge to tell us about the birds that can be found in our local area and how we can get them to visit our gardens.  Apart from the pleasure of seeing and hearing birds in the garden, they can be good for your plants as well.

Get all the information you need during this special presentation at the Friends of Scotchmans Creek and Valley Reserve Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 17 October at 7:30 pm in Alvie Hall, 314 High Street Road, Mount Waverley.  Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from an expert.
