Dr. Steve Sinclair, professional plant ecologist and field botanist, will present a talk on Wildflowers in Waverley.

We know that the Annual General Meeting is often not the most exciting event in our calendar, but we do try to make it interesting.  This year there is no question about the quality of our speaker.  It is Dr. Steve Sinclair, professional plant ecologist and field botanist who works for the DSE's Arthur Rylah Institute.  Steve’s talk is entitled “Wildflowers in Waverley” and he will be giving us a picture of the original vegetation of the area, describe some of the changes that have taken place, and details of some of the interesting species.  Steve grew up in Syndal, and has long been involved with the area's vegetation.

If you are a native plant enthusiast, this is the chance to get some expert information and ask the question about that plant you’ve always wanted to know about.

We will have a break for light refreshments after the talk and the AGM will follow.  This will include the President’s and Treasurer’s Reports and the election of the Committee for 2010/2011.
