Working bee on the Red Hill Trail, Saturday 25th October at 1pm, followed by afternoon tea. Note - this is separate from the MCCL Green Army project.

All MCCL members and Peninsula locals are invited to this inaugural working bee at a site on the western end of the Red Hill Trail, close to the shops.

This site, which has recently been weeded by the Shire, is now an 'MCCL site'.  This means that, with the help of the Shire's Natural Systems Team, MCCL will help keep the site weed free and, eventually revegetated.

At this first working bee, we'll work out as a group what we can do on the site and will get help from bushland regeneration specialist Naturelinks to identify and control weeds.

Tools will be provided for weeding, but please bring gloves and sturdy boots.

Danielle Suffern from Naturelinks will be on site to advise. Danielle has been working in and around the Red Hill Bushland Reserve (Red Hill Trail) for about 5 years and is a favourite among Friends of groups so we are very lucky to have her assistance.

The meeting point about a 3 minute walk down the trail from the Callinan's Rd carpark.
