Pasture, Soils, Animal Health and Farm Water Information Session
You are invited to this information session where presenters from Department of Environment and Primary Industries will provide practical advice on managing your land, water, and livestock after fire.

AGENDA

6pm – Siltation and Erosion Control
An on-site demonstration on the use of sediment barriers for siltation and erosion control @ Karen & Peter Ivory’s property, 71 Stennings Lane, Darraweit Guim (off the Wallan-Darraweit Road - look for the signs)

7:00pm – 7:30pm: move to Darraweit Guim War Memorial Hall (Bolinda Road) for pizza

7:30pm – 8:30pm: Presentations (at Darraweit Guim War Memorial Hall)

  • • Pasture Recovery - impact on pasture, pasture management and if re-sowing is needed 
  • • Impact on Soil - what to expect, how to stabilise your soil and protect your dams 
  • • Animal Health and Nutrition - caring for livestock and feeding 


Advice on access to other bushfire recovery support will also be discussed at the session.

Dinner (pizza) provided and the information session will finish with tea, coffee and chat.
