Stawell Urban Landcare will be giving away 400 free native plants at the Mother’s Day Classic event.
Trees for Mum is a series of Australia wide tree planting events held on Mother's Day. The project was first started in Sydney in 2002 by two friends as a way of paying tribute to their mums who they had both lost to cancer.
Since 2012 Trees for Mum has partnered with Landcare enabling more people to become involved with planting trees in their communities, nurturing the environment and creating living legacies for so many mums.
Free native plants will be available from 8.30 until 11.00 on Sunday, 8th May during the Mother's Day Classic event at North Park, Lamont Street, Stawell.
