Upper Hopkins Land Management Group is holding a Bat Night with ecologist Peter Homan. This will be a perfect opportunity to learn about the many species of bats found on farming land in our region and their importance as pollinators.
All Landcare members, their families and friends are very welcome.
The evening will be particularly interesting for children. We will start with a BBQ meal at 6.30pm followed by a session setting some traps just before dusk. Peter will explain a little of his work and share his knowledge of bats before we return to the field to check the nets. Peter hopes to have some bats captured previously to show any children needing to leave early.
Please bring some BBQ food for your family, a salad to share, something to drink, your own plates and cutlery, your own chair. Upper Hopkins LMG will provide bread, condiments, dessert, tea and coffee.
