Drone monitoring
Castlemaine Landcare Group has been delighted to view drone footage of the landscape along Forest Creek and Moonlight Creek in Castlemaine. The group has been working to remove weeds and restore native vegetation in this area for approximately 15 years, in conjunction with government departments, volunteer groups and the Mount Alexander Shire Council. The drone's eye view gives us a great overview of the whole area.
Most recently, the drone has shown the impact of some recent work undertaken by DELWP to groom gorse in the northern section of Moonlight Creek.
