Indian Myna project receives funding

This project is dedicated to the preservation and welfare of indigenous cavity- nesting birds and marsupials via the reduction of Indian Myna Bird numbers in the region.

Indian Mynas are an introduced species that are becoming more and more prevalent in our area.  They are extremely aggressive and pose a significant threat to native species as they compete with them for breeding sites.

Our group has secured funding from the City of Greater Bendigo to conduct a community awareness raising and control project.

Traps have been purchased and are now available for sale for $50.  Conditions apply.  For information please email landcareversusmynas@gmail.com
