Landcare for Singles - Wesburn 2013

What a great way to spend the first day of Spring! - out with the birds and the bees, meeting new people and doing something for the environment.

The relaunch of this innovative event on Sunday 1st September in the Yarra Ranges, attracted 42 singles aged from 25 to 65. The weather and setting were perfect and a total of 1050 indigenous plants were planted along the Warburton Rail Trail Reserve, in just 2 hours. Lions catered with a BBQ and we had the melodic sounds of the Bones and the Bodran Bush Band playing through lunch.

The feedback has been very positive and a second event is scheduled for November - so stay tuned!

Thanks goes to Landcare Australia and the Yarra Ranges Council for their generous support to run this event.
