It's fair to say women are under represented and their contributions often go unrecognised when it comes to agriculture in Australia. Chicks in the Sticks is our way of providing local farming women with an avenue for professional development and networking opportunities. We will be learning more about alternative income streams such as producing wattle seeds and natives for the cut flower market. We will also hear from Leila Sweeney; the multi award winning fashion designer, teacher, agribusiness leader, charity ambassador and mum. Leila will discuss her roles in leadership positions and opportunities for women in agriculture. You can attend either the farm tour or dinner, or come along to both.
